Mrs.Ngoza Kasunga Matakala

Managing Director

Mrs. Matakala brings with her a wealth of experience spanning over two decades in both the Financial and Media industries. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mrs. Matakala has held senior management positions at esteemed organisations such as Multichoice Zambia, Group Five Zambia, and British American Tobacco, among others.

Her extensive expertise and leadership acumen have been honed through diverse roles and responsibilities, reflecting her commitment to excellence and innovation. Mrs. Matakala's professional journey is underscored by her academic achievements, including a Master's in Strategic Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, further supplemented by her fellowship with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting.


Ms. Gillian Mazimba

Director Finance

Gillian Mazimba is a Chartered Accountant by Profession. A Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), she has almost 20 years experience in Finance with technical competencies in Financial Management, Financial Reporting, Treasury Management and Credit Management. Gillian holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Herriot Watt University (UK) and an MBA with Specialism in Strategic Planning also from Herriot Watt University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Studies – Finance from Greenwich University as well as ACCA and AAT professional qualifications from the UK. Gillian also sits on the Finance & Administration Board Committee of Competition Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).


Mr.Zephania Sholobela

Director Air Navigation Services

Zephania Sholobela is an Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) by Profession. Former president and now a senior member of the Guilds of Air Traffic Controllers Association of Zambia (GATCOZ). He has more than 20 years experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM) and Air Navigation Services (ANS) operations with technical competencies in ATC Tower, Approach Radar and Area Control Centre, ATM Supervisory, On Job Training Instructor (OJTI), Aviation English Language Proficiency (ELP), Aircraft Accident Investigation, Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) and Aviation Human Factors. His extensive expertise and leadership roles have been honed through diverse roles and responsibilities including Senior Air Traffic Control Officer (SATCO) at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA), Manager Air Traffic Services (MATS) in charge of the provision of safe, efficient and expeditious Air Traffic Services throughout the Republic of Zambia. While serving as MATS, he acted as Director Air Navigation Services (DANS) for one (1) year one (1) month. Zephania holds a Diploma in Air Traffic Services (ATS) from Zambia Air Services Training Institute (ZASTI), Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Development Studies from the Zambia Open University, Masters in Sustainable Air Transport (Airports and Air Navigation Services) Management (MATSM) Degree from Itaerea Aeronautical Business School and United Nations for Training and Research (UNITAR). Zephania is also the Vice Chairperson of the Africa Region Civil Air Navigation Services Organisations (CANSO) operations working group (ANS-WG). His hobbies include watching series of Aircraft Accident Investigation scenarios and listening to Adventist gospel songs.



Mrs. Harriet Nakazwe Angetile

Director Airport Services

With over 26 years of experience in the aviation industry, Harriet Nakazwe Angetile is a seasoned leader renowned for her strategic vision and unwavering commitment to operational excellence at Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL). Harriet’s journey began in 1996 in the Electrical Engineering section, where she served as an Electrical Technician, specialising in Airfield Ground Lighting systems and substations. Driven by her dedication to professional growth, she later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2009, marking the start of her transition into airport operations.

Harriet’s operational experience expanded as she took on the role of Assistant Airport Manager, where she developed a deep understanding of airport management. In 2011, she was appointed Manager of Ground Handling, where she established the unit from the ground up, implementing standard operating procedures to optimize resource allocation and service delivery. Her commitment to high standards led her to the role of Manager of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) in 2014, where she championed the pursuit of ISO 9001:2015 certification, setting benchmarks for safety and quality across ZACL.

In 2020, Harriet became the first female Airport Manager at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA), achieving remarkable success by elevating the customer satisfaction score from 50% to 80%. During her tenure, KKIA was recognised as the Best Airport in Africa in 2022. Harriet’s dedication to continuous improvement also saw her earn a Master’s in Business Administration.

Beyond her role at ZACL, Harriet contributes to the broader aviation community as Vice President of the Airport Council International (ACI) Safety Technical Committee and as a board member of AVIASSIST. A passionate advocate for safety and certification in African airports, Harriet is a role model to many, inspiring young women across Africa to dream boldly and pursue leadership roles in aviation. Her message to the girl child in rural Africa is simple: never give up on your dreams.



Mrs. Mwiche Namukoko Himoonga

Director Human Resource

Mwiche Namukoko Himoonga is a seasoned Strategic HR Executive with a remarkable track record in Commercial Banking and Telecommunications. With over 15 years experience, Mwiche has consistently aligned human resources with organisational growth, fostering a high-performance culture and driving significant achievements in talent management, learning, and employee engagement.

Mwiche’s strategic leadership has been pivotal in driving HR excellence, optimising workforce dynamics, and elevating employee engagement. Her previous roles saw the seamless integration of grading structures post-merger, the development of a comprehensive salary broadband structure, and the alignment of conditions of service, ensuring unified work environments.

A recognised expert in strategic HR management, change management, and organizational development, Mwiche is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Liverpool John Moores University, and holds post-graduate diplomas in Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management from Cavendish University Zambia and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Copperbelt University.

Mwiche is known for her innovative reward frameworks, effective union negotiations, and commitment to employee wellness and engagement. Her hobbies include sight-seeing, reading, cooking and volunteering in community service.


Mr. Daniel Longwe

Director Strategy and Corporate Planning

Daniel Longwe is a seasoned Corporate Planning and Strategy Executive with over 10 years’ experience. He has a proven record in strategy design and implementation and strategy management in the Railway Industry. He is skilled in the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), business continuity planning, project management, investment planning and corporate research. Passionate about the business performance and company growth, he has served in senior and executive management positions, led high performing teams and cultivated strong stakeholder relationships in the transport sector. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Copperbelt University; a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Zambia; and is a professional member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ). Daniel is well known for his strategic thinking, excellent communications skills and ability to adapt to changing business environments. He has a reputation as a trusted and forward-thinking executive and is excited to leverage his expertise in leading the Corporate Planning and Strategy team to new heights of success.


Mr. Kephas Phiri

Director Commercial Services

Mr. Kephas Masaninga Phiri, a distinguished Business and Marketing professional brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his role as Director Commercial Services at Zambia Airports Corporation Limited (ZACL). He has a robust academic background, that includes a Master’s in Business Administration from Cavendish University (Zambia and the UK), a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, Psychology, and Mass Communication from the University of Zambia, along with an international diploma in management studies .His commitment to continuous professional development is further evidenced by his postgraduate diploma in lecturing and teaching methodology, and numerous specialised certifications in commercial and general management.

Over his 22-year career, Kephas has amassed extensive commercial experience across the telecommunications with a strong focus in Sales & distribution, Enterprise Management , manufacturing, and aviation industries. He has a proven ability in buildingand execution of commercial strategy ,Setting business goals, budgeting, account management , building performance driven teams ,Business Development and attracting of investors, Customer and vendor management ,revenue planning that supports both the attainment of annual sales and implementationof marketing strategy and the long-term strategic objectives of the business.

A self-driven individual with a strong commercial acumen and results driven, Kephas excels in crafting and operationalising strategies that yield tangible results. Over the past few years Kephas has built a deep passion and understanding of the aviation industry, which he has been acquired through hands-on experience and exposure to international aviation conferences where he has been a speaker in show casing non Aeronautical growth opportunities that exists at ZACL. The exposure has enabled him to continuously innovate and improve passenger and investor experiences and contribute to the growth of non-aeronautical revenues.

Kephas’s commercial aptitude, leadership and strategic thinking and team playing and people centric culture , makes him an asset to ZACL, as he continues to drive the corporation towards its goals of financial sustainability and operational excellence by harnessing opportunities that support the growth of non-aeronautical revenue .
